Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Olde Ship Inn offers a charming experience, with some guests staying in surprisingly spacious cottages. The location is ideal, being less than a 5-minute walk to the pier, and right next to the beautiful harbour; it's also perfect for boat trips to the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. Many guests found the food excellent, particularly the fish dishes, although the menu can be reduced during busy periods. The rooms and bathrooms are generally considered adequately sized and comfortable.

Really good Stay

friendly staff beer selection interior design local parking
The bar staff were friendly and efficient. I noted the amazing selection of hand-pull beers available. The interior design has a very unique character. Although there is no on-site parking, I utilized the local car park only two minutes away.
The room was very average.

an acceptable stay with some drawbacks

thin walls temperature fluctuation
the breakfast met my expectations, it was a standard fare.
The shower temperature fluctuated erratically. It went from hot to cold without warning. furthermore, the noise levels were unacceptable. I heard every footstep and conversation from adjacent rooms. the thin walls did not offer adequate sound insulation, disturbing my sleep.
